JAG MY CHEF APP TERMS OF SERVICE AND BOOKING AGREEMENT

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By downloading and using the Jag My Chef App ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. TERMS OF SERVICE
2.1 Service Description
When you make a booking on the Jag My Chef App, you ("the User") enter into an agreement with Jag My Chef for the provision of private chef services, including meal preparation, cooking, and related services. This agreement is subject to the following terms and conditions:
2.2 Scheduling and Cancellation
- The User agrees to schedule appointments exclusively through the Jag My Chef App.
- A "do not schedule" request must be submitted by the User before 5:00 pm on the Friday of the previous week to avoid scheduling and charges for appointments.
2.3 Duration of Appointment
- Each appointment is scheduled for a fixed duration of 2 hours.
2.4 Access and Home Entry
- The User shall ensure that Jag My Chef has full access to their home on the scheduled cook-date.
- In the event that Jag My Chef cannot access the User's home due to changed locks, difficult pets, or other reasons, it shall be considered a last-minute cancellation by the User.
- In case of last-minute cancellations, the User shall reimburse Jag My Chef for any expenses incurred, including the cost of groceries, if any were purchased for the session.
2.5 Kitchen Cleanliness and Suitability
- The User shall ensure that the kitchen area is clean and ready for Jag My Chef on the scheduled cook-date.
- Meal containers must be ready for use as agreed upon in advance.
- Jag My Chef shall NOT be responsible for cleaning the area around or in between the stove and burners as part of their professional services.
- A cleaning fee of $25 will be added to the invoice for that service date if the kitchen is not clean and suitable for cooking.
- If the kitchen does not meet basic health code standards (e.g., no running water, no electricity), Jag My Chef will prepare and store what they can, and the User will be charged the day-rate.
2.6 Distractions and Interruptions
- The User, children, pets, and other distractions shall not be present in the kitchen area during all scheduled cook-dates.
- The User respectfully acknowledges and agrees to allow Jag My Chef to perform their professional services without interruption.
- Clients are not permitted to leave their children in or around the kitchen area without the presence of a babysitter or adult supervision. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure a safe and supervised environment for their children during the cooking session.
2.7 Parking
- The User shall ensure the availability of a safe and suitable parking space for Jag My Chef to park their vehicle during the scheduled cook-date. The User acknowledges that safe parking is essential for the provision of services and the transportation of equipment and supplies.
2.8 Payment Terms and Charges
- Payment for services will be processed through the App, with options for bank transfers and credit card payments via auto-pay.
- Users who choose not to set up auto-pay will be charged a 5% extra service fee for manual invoicing.
- Charges for services beyond the 2-hour appointment duration will be billed at Jag My Chef's pro-rated hourly rate.
- Jag My Chef will not refund or credit any unused time within the initially estimated 2-hour duration.
2.9 Responsibility for Property
- Jag My Chef shall not be responsible for any theft, burglary, or harm to the User's property caused by third parties when the User is not present in the house.
2.10 Liabilities and Responsibilities
- The User shall inform Jag My Chef of any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or special requirements in advance.

- Jag My Chef shall follow proper food handling and safety procedures.
- The User is solely responsible for properly storing, defrosting, reheating, and maintaining food safety practices related to the meals provided.
- Jag My Chef shall not be held liable for consequences arising from the User's failure to follow food safety practices.
2.11 Dispute Resolution
- In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to engage in good-faith negotiations and, if necessary, mediation to reach an amicable resolution.
2.12 Termination
- Either party may terminate this agreement according to the terms and conditions specified in the booking and these Terms of Service.
3. CHANGES TO TERMS
Jag My Chef reserves the right to modify or revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
4. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
